    Alois Alzheimer – Birthplace

Until 1989, the birthplace of Alois Alzheimer had hardly been known. In 1989, on the occasion of a symposium to celebrate his 125th birthday, the house was eventually identified and fitted with a memorial plaque on Thursday, June 22, 1989.

In 1995, Lilly purchased the house and gave Ulrike Maurer the order to transform the birthplace into a museum and memorial and conference place.
